NACRAJON
Wanted a picture of the jib sheet retaining system that allows you to have the jib sheet at hand while on the trapeze. Saw a couple on Windrushes at the Brass Monkey but didn't have my camera handy. Jon

korwich
Don't tell them the secrets Darren, or soon Mick will know them too. Then you know what that will mean. Cheers Phil

TornadoSport260
Mick's seen dad's boat, darren's boat and mine. All very fast windies so if he hasnt already picked up this trick, he better get on his bike... Basically all you do is add an extra length of elastic with a plastic ring onto each trap wire... when threading ur jib sheet between the 2 cleats thread the rope through the rings and when u get on wire the rope 'follows' u out... Simple and u dont need to bend in (lose leverage) to adjust the jib...
korwich
yeh but he di'nt twig to it untill he saw it done on mine (mari 5005) then he was all eyes n ears. I noticed that you windys did'nt have to lean in to adjust your jibs, so I asked the question, Mick just never noticed mine was converted for oh 6 months of racing at tanilba, he even stood there and watched as I rigged it up every time, still it never twigged for him. Folks from lemon tree massage marina are not too quick.
