darcy1945
Mari 4m (13') is lighter, simpler (most don't have traveller), and have a smaller more manageable rig, both tack the same, cat or sloop rig (sloop rig with jib would be pref for teaching). Mari 4.3 (14'), and H14 are same in performance and handling, H14 no longer built in Aus some parts no longer available. Good new and 2nd hand supply for 4.3 Mari, 4m Mari scarce. darcy1945
Windrush 14, good tough boat, terrible to tack cat rig but okay sloop, s/sloop, good parts availability (WA), watch for soft hull sides (horizontal foam bulkheads come loose), deep rudder system very good but requires constant washing and maint to avoid corrosion. Toss up between Mari, Windy, which can you buy cheaper (2nd hand on lake Macquarie, both can be bought for $600 up on reg trlr). Mari now built in Bris. Hope this helps.
