doomadgeedynamites
Hello Everyone, I just found this useful site and joined staightaway, So Hi. I bought a Hobie 14 last weekend that had been neglected :( for the past 3 yrs in a backyard on the clarencecoast (NSW). I need to find a set of rudders as these were broken. A trampoline and a mainsail as these rotted and fell apart as i touched them. I would be appreciated to resurrect this boat and get it back to where it belongs. On the water amongst the wind and the waves. Cheers
iOrion
I've seen a few Hobie 14s on EBay over the last few weeks and they were going ridiculously cheap. You might be best off buying another boat for parts?
doomadgeedynamites
I picked it up for a song, so even though they are cheap on ebay, its still way more than the $75.00 i spent buying the Hobie. (When you come across a bargain like this it is hard not to purchase) I dont mind paying fair price for these items required
xnomad
It'll take you some time to find those parts for a decent price. I've never seen a used mainsail on it's own for sale, let alone a tramp. You really are better off getting another boat for $800 or so and consolidating the best parts.
