tonyquoll
Correction: we improve on the Olympics by adding an extra wing mark for the cats, about 180m further out to lengthen and square up the reaches. More fun!

tonyquoll
Weather forecast is for sunny days, 10-15 knot North-east winds; perfection. The recent rains and floods have caused havoc though. The highway between Cooma and Bega is closed at Brown Mountain, due to a mudslide. RTA says closed "until further notice". - if coming from the north, please go via Batemans Bay and the coast road. - if coming from Canberra, either go via Batemans Bay, or take Mt Darragh Rd near Bombala towards Pambula. Either way will take about 4 hours, but Mt Darragh is narrow and windy. - if coming from Tumut, Mt Darragh Rd to Pambula. The lake filled right up, almost flooded the clubhouse, then a channel was dug open to the sea. It has now dropped to almost sea-level, which is perfect. The boat ramp is all good, and there is a lovely sandy beach in front of the grass for rigging and off-the-beach launching.

tonyquoll
Yes, all good: - lake is now open to the sea and holding at a steady, full level - Wallagoot Lake Rd has a couple of potholes, but easily driven - weather forecast is mostly sunny, 22 degrees, 10knot southerly - working bees have the clubhouse and rigging area all cleaned up; ready to go! - we even have had our art group install an exhibition in the clubhouse. Registration 8:30 - 10am. (or at kitchen if you get here later) Briefing 10am 1st race 11am 2nd race 2pm, then 3rd race back-to-back. Looking forward to some great racing!
