Gazereth78
Hi all Just a quick question for the Perthys here, how high is the Narrows Bridge in Perth. On a side issue, how high are the Freo Traffic bridges down the other end? I can't seem to find any info online anywhere. Just interested, I'm sure the narrows is ok for Windys but not sure about the Freo bridges. Cheers
Edge
Narrows is about 8m so will fit under inthe ctr no problem, mind you I havnt sailed under it since the second side of the bridge was added but I believe it is a replica of the first side. The Freo bridges area no go. From memory they are only 6.4m or less. I quoted a job on a big power boat a few years back that had to have a folding radar mast made so it could pass under at any tide. Didnt get the job but I think that was the height
Gazereth78
Fair enough, just imagining a river expedition but sounds like a bust. Cheers PS - those RedWitch Yachts are designed to fit under the Freo Bridges, They must have short stumpy masts. lol
NACRAJON
I don't know Perth but I have gone through similar low bridges in other places in the Taipan. If the tide or wind is in your favor just capsize and drift through.
