exhogger
After the tramp pulled out of the track for the 2nd time I figured there was something wrong. (There's no tricking me). The slot was too wide caused by the inner edge, i.e. the hull, moving away from the aluminium strip. The attached pics show what was found after the strip was removed. The holes that have split are the ones from the original rivets which have corroded and expanded. The other holes are recent. Also shown is the caravan annex strip used for the repair as per advice on this forum for those who haven't seen it.
korwich
It is possible to use the caravan track inverted as well so as the bit the rope slides in is fitted down into the original rope groove in the hulls, I just put mine up the way you have it, did'nt make much diff to me, just make sure you smooth and radius the ends of the track, makes getting the tramp in easier, and it does'nt rip your wetsuit bottom either.
