Distinguished Ladies and Gentleman,

yo, recently you were interested in holding one of your events here at Jervoise Bay Sailing Club, Woodmans Point WA. Apologies. Regretably, with your kind indulgence, it is manifest the then mostly non sailing Committee were unable to cater to that particular event being at the time. However be aware, please, that there is now a general and apparent consensus amongst the club sailing members to now push all the camping members back off the rigging lawns of the sailing club, that is, to make way for your sailboats etc should you wish to avail yourself of the facilities. Note, there is an AGM at the club about 2 weeks away, and, we'll certainly fly the flag for you on the day for Nacras. It's probably way cool if you want to use the club grounds and amenities for any of your events, that is, next season which the Committee are now tending to. We'd be only to pleased to help. Cheers. Swing by. Hope to see you at your dignified leisure. All welcome.

Seabreeze thanks, JBSC was our first choice for holding our 35th nationals 2013/14 nationals. JBSC has a history with Nacra, having hosted the 1st and 3rd nationals in the late 70's/ early 80s and again in 1990 (14th nationals). With undoubtably one of the best bits of water in WA. Your club put members camping ahead of running that event. Our last nationals in WA (2009) put approx 12k over the bar.

We then approached Busselton who put a wedding ahead of sailing. Apparently if you book their club for a wedding you get exclusive rights to the grounds and facilities for the entire day. While we attempted to work around this offering to shift our final day and bring in portable toilet facilities for the sailors this was also denied.

It appears some clubs no longer have a sailing focus.

Had either Busselton or JBSC obtained the nacra nationals it was likely they would have also been asked to host the F18 nationals over australia day weekend. The F18 nationals have now been offered to Victoria.

The Nacra nationals will again be going to Bunbury who have welcomed the event and are committed to it being a big week of sailing.

Wishing you well in your endevours to return the club to a high profile "sailing" club and we would concider it again with our next nationals rotation in 4-5 years.

Thanking you, Goose.

Further to your correspondence, have liased with Yachting WA whom are kindly attending the JBSC (Inc.) AGM on the day in regard to junior sailor's training and various things. In the first instant they have referred me to the WA Department of Commerce, and Consumer Affairs, regarding incorporations. Obviously they don't know and can't say what's transpired with our sailing Constitution and events such as the Nacra Nationals and, say, the JBSC Around the Sound Race [that didn't happen this year].

Have recently shared your reply on Gumtree:

Speaking with our Patron at the club recently, The Mayor of Cockburn Right Honourable Logan Hewitt JP, and, will certainly forward him your insightful comments this week via Email, that is, being prior to the AGM.

Our local State Member, Hon Fran Logan MLA, is also inclined to a very keen interest in the local sailing club's water activities and accessability, and as you may appreciate, he might be inclined to dignify this matter with the WA Department of Sport and Recreation being on your account, and, will write to him. He probably knows lots of lawyers and stuff. A good lawyer makes a bad neighbour. Trust that they can da dextram misero (L.), give the right hand to one unhappy.

Follow up correspondence at a Federal level may also be appropriate in establishing a dialouge.

Sorry if our club has left a bad taste in your mouth. There is no disputing about tastes.

Again, thanking you.
