The 2013/14 Paper Tiger National Championships will be held at Portarlington Sailing Club, near Geelong Vic, from 28th December 2013 - 3rd January 2014.

For more info and updates see: http://www.vicpapertiger.org.au/

At 6/12/13 there's 23 entrants, with around 40 expected at the event.
Defending champ Bruce Rose from Tassie will be hard to beat, as he's coming from Lauderdale Sailing Club which now has a huge fleet of PTs and they trained all winter. Bruce likes a mixed range of conditions.

Victorian Cat Champ Bryan Anderson will also be a hot favourite, especially if it's windy.

From NSW, the 2010 World Champ Ian Marcovitch is leading the NSW State Champs, and could take the title if we get light-moderate conditions.

There's at least 20 boats worthy of a top-ten finish, quite of few of which are genuine contenders for outright victory.

All PTs with a measurement certificate and association membership are welcome to attend. While the stars blast around the front of the fleet, slower boats and novice skippers will be chasing them as hard as they can. It'll be fun racing for all who attend.
Aside from lots of close, intense and exciting racing, we're expecting a lot of fun off the water. The Vic hosts are known to throw a good party, with games and contests after racing.

Great series, mostly moderate winds around 15 knots, with some tricky shifts & patches to keep people on thier toes.

Key moment; Mark Wiggins covers Bryan Anderson up the final windward leg in the last race, and could win overall if they hold those places. Mark sails into a lull, which Bryan avoids to pass him, take the race and take the title.
