Jack M
My H14 is an early 70s boat, with the older style castings, when I run maximum rake, the mast over rotates past the stops. The castings were updated in 1982 allowing extra rake. What have people done to limit mast rotation? Thanks.
Aus661 nacra
I had a Hobie turbo with a built up front mast step casting (about 7mm added) - it was the rage in the 1980s - I would not do it again because the back of the mast hits the mast step casting anyway and sometimes locks. Would be easier to get a later mast step casting and a new rivet gun.

Ocean Racer
Class rules allow you to install a H17/18 mast rotation kit. Hobie Aus will put one together, around $140 mark but way cheaper than new mast base and step!
