Jk
Hobie Victoria has a basic set up of a hobie 18 to get you up into the fleet. www.hobiecat.asn.au/ goto Victoria on the "links" follow the link "Tips" and then Hobie 18 Rigging and tuning. Fairly basic but a good starting point. Hope it helps, they are a great boat in all conditions, even thouogh, yes they are a bit heavy!!!!!! Anyone else with tips ?? Phil Palmer
Gday Piggy, You're probably doing alright already if your beating 16s by 5 minutes since there's only a few points difference in the yardstick rating anyway. Many 18s don't get that far ahead. Also there's alot of different tuning pages to be found in the net for hobies, just use a search engine with some appropriate terms and you'll be flooded with lots of good info and a little rubbish too!
