steve_garlick
Hi, Due to a regretable new 'hatch' added to my hobie hull (the dreaded stay pull out), I'm in need of a starbord hull. I will pay a reasonable amount for a hull. If any-one has any leads, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Steve

TornadoSport260
Its a common problem in older hobie's. Basically over time the load the stay puts on the gunwale will weaken the gunwale around the stainless load spreader the stay screws into. It will then split the hull from the deck at the gunwale and i may or may not also split the inner gunwale. If your lucky you'll notice it before it lets go. But when it lets go it turns ur hull into a rather large esky with a convenient lid... My old training partner did it to a 1996 H16 w/ Spinnaker, while sailing on the Gold Coast out of Currumbin Creek... Split a 1metre section off the deck, luckily the inner gunwale didnt let go considering they were still under spinnaker...
