Emmessee
Is there anywhere to sail on a lake in the Hunter Valley? I have been up there working heaps lately and I thought that there might be a sneaky lake somewhere hidden that people are keeping a secret. Just a thought. Emmessee
I am getting closer. Like Grahamstown Dam just out of Raymond Terrace. Beautiful spot and all, but I am not sure if there is a club or sailing allowed on it as it is a water supply. This is a beautiful spot. Google map it and have a look. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?ie=UTF8&ll=-32.742815,151.822643&spn=0.10338,0.159645&t=h&z=13&om=1 Home Community services Community directory Search community directory Download printable directory Want your organisation listed in this directory? The Bitch
Grahamstown Dam (which is in Port Stephens not the Hunter Valley) do not have sailing but if you are willing to go that far then why not go a little bit further east (about 15mins) to Tanilba Bay. We sail on Sundays and have A-Classes, Maricats, Taipans. Scott

TornadoSport260
Afternoon, There are soooo many places to sail up there. Being from there, try Lake Liddell (Muswellbrook) did have a club but no longer, $2 entry into the reserve. Lake St Claire (north of singleton) no club and watch the Nor Easters... 25+knt gusts and there in the sails before they register on the water, courtesy of a rather large hill... can be rather scary. Grahamstown Dam, did have a club, not sure if it still exists Tanilba Bay, club sails 14's Soldiers Point, club Fingal Bay, no club and u share it with the beach going public Port Hunter the club is at Stockton (used to have great offshore racing but not any more) Rathmines (Lake Macquarie), did have a club but no longer, still a great park and launch area Speers Point (Lake Macquarie), club with a good mix of cats Wangi Wangi (Lake Macquarie), club with a few 14's. Mannering Park (Lake Macquarie), club sails 14's Lake Munmorah (between Lake Macquarie and Central Coast), club? i sailed a H16 states from there, not sure if the club still exists Glenbawn Dam - upper hunter near Scone if all else fails try YA's Club finder. www.yachting.org.au [This message has been edited by TornadoSport260 (edited 16 October 2007).] [This message has been edited by TornadoSport260 (edited 16 October 2007).]
