johno
What is your record for a sustained hull fly. Mine is 1min 54sec. Beat that! If so tell me about it.

REV YUKKA II
i take it that you had enough wind out side to run on a downwind leg doing the wild thing from the heads of pittwater to bondi and in that wind the water "never touched the windward hull". that sounds like some great sailing. what sort of boat where you in? Emmessee
Macca was on a Tornado for that little sail. I sailed on a Nacra 5.8 from one end of the Whitsundays to the other without tacking and would have kept the windward hull out of the water the entire time. Two out on the wire the whole way, cleated the main and just belted across in the most steady wind I have ever experienced. We basically just sat back and relaxed in about 15 knots of wind that rarely even shifted let along increased or dropped. I wouldn't mind doing that again. On my Maricat, I went from near Balmoral to Manly on one hull, probably about 15 minutes. The Maricat needs a nice steady breeze too.
Emmessee
Some of the super maxi cats can fly a hull for 24 hours as they are computer trimmed and set at an angle and as long as there is enough wind, they will stay there above the water.
