Scuttlebutt
Hi guys, just borrowed a windrush for WA states. was an interesting series. was very impressed with the quality of the fleet. there was about 28 boats in total. we had very challenging conditions. only got 3 races finished out of 6. a bit dispointing from that perspective but the weather is not under our control. was suprised at the quality of the fleet!! we had 18-22kn in one race and the seamanship i saw was great. I am exprienced in these conditions and found myself last around the first mark. was great competion and could not let up at all as everyone was going fast. they are a shit boat to tack even with a jib but not disimilar to maricat. mark
korwich
So Mark did you win or not, more importantly did Donna beat you.
TornadoSport260
Windrush arnt hard to tack... you just need to know how... just like cat rigged 14's... you want a hard boat to tack go sail a Hobie 14 cat rigged...
Scuttlebutt
Donna has some friends visiting from Canberra so she did not sail or I might have finished even further back. First and second went to Ryan and Greg who got 1sts and 2nds in all 3 races. apparently i was next finishing 3rd but more luck than good sailing. I sailed very poorly in 2 races and am not sure I deserve 3rd.
