JimB
Michael, In one of the other threads you mentioned that your downhaul system is from the Tornado. How does that differ from the standard Windrush S/S set up? regards, Jim
TornadoSport260
The downhaul is the dual cleat system like most people use however I run the ends through a pully at the sidestay and down through the trapeze shockcord eyelet and around another pully underdeck. This underdeck pully is on a piece of shockcord to keep tension on the ends of the downhaul, which means I only really have 1 line each side of the mast that then disappears under the trampoline. Its less clutter and less things I can get caught on when moving around. Also the line is ALWAYS in the same spot, which is something that used to annoy me when I just tied the ends around the stay or back on each other. The line was always slack and would creep down the deck just when I needed to adjust it. No such problem with my current system.
TornadoSport260
as far as I am aware I am the only one that goes to that extent to keep the deck clean. The tornado had a downhaul that disappeared into the front beam.

TornadoSport260
Good! Its amazing what you can do when you know how things work, rather than just trying stuff not knowing what effect it has. Michael
