korwich
So I gotta ask what happens to the shock cord when you do that? Every time I end up going out the front, there is a resounding Ping as the shock cord breaks. Phil

HooD
Last year my crew went around the fore stay during a nose dive, we saved it and the bow came up between his legs... shock cord never broke... worse than that we both ended up close to the hounds.. both shock cords never broke... the trick is to have plenty of length in you system, on my boat the crew shock cord runs through the beam three times for a total of 7.5 meters so it gets at least twice that before it breaks.
