markita13
It is now getting close too possbily the last Olympic Games for catamarans, Darren and Glen have been long time supporters of catamarans and Darren in particular in Hobies. I am quite often in contact with Darren and it appears he has gone into lock down mode in preparation, never the less it is time to get behind our friends. Even if he does not get to see it I am sure the positive vibes will reach them. Go Darren and Glen, all the best wishes from Jo, Mark, Jack & Daisy

tornado
Booth measures in with his code zero. Will be interesting to see if the US and AUS choose to do likewise. Tornado measurment THURSDAY 7th AUGUST - FRA SATURDAY 9th AUGUST - AUT, CHN, GRE SUNDAY 10th AUGUST - ITA, UKR, NED MONDAY 11th AUGUST - GBR, ESP, GER TUESDAY 12th AUGUST - USA, BEL, ARG WEDNESDAY 13th AUGUST - AUS, CAN However they have outlawed the pelican striker on the spinnaker poles. Roman Hagara and Hans Peter Steinacher are threatening to boycott the Games if Booth and others are allowed to compete with the code zero sail. tornado
Mitch Booth, the master of mind games, has produced the master stroke in his Tornado campaign and probably destroyed the chances of the United States sailors who were his training partners. Booth, who was the progenitor of the Code Zero movement in the class, made the last minute decision to use the conventional gennaker instead. http://www.sail-world.com/Australia/Seppos-tanked!*/47703

tornado
I believe 7 will televise the medal race live at 3 pm on Thursday 21st. Keep an eye here for coverage details. http://www.australiansailingteam.com.au/?Page=37423&MenuID=News%2F13508%2F21828 Looks like it will be a fresh one today with winds averaging 18 gusting 20 on course E. Wind predicted to increase so may even get canned. http://afqx.qingdao.gov.cn/english/fbz.aspx 3 races shedualed today with the first at noon (2pm our time) http://www.sailing.org/olympics/resultscentre.php?PHPSESSID=c5c60d0748f894fa7a2ab1c43db77196 Some very good Games reporting here http://sailjuice.squarespace.com/home
QB2
Looks like its going to go down to the wire in the final three races with the Aussies having to fend off Spain with 3 wins so far. Do bundy/gashby get to drop their worst result? (9th)

tornado
Well done ESP. If you win 4 races from 11, you deserve to come away with Gold. That footage was Gold also. If that does not work in the Multihulls favour to return to the Games, then nothing will. Bundy / Ashby, well done. It is sad to see arguably the greatest Tornado helmsman there ever was.... Never win a Gold. Bring the T back for London so he can have another crack at it.
