Is anyone able to please supply a couple of pictures (plus a couple of notes if possible) of how they have rigged: - The Downhaul for the main - The Boom Vang - Downhaul for the Jib Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
John Dowling Posted January 28, 2013 Report Share Posted January 28, 2013 I can help you with those - forget the boom vang - it's not needed. The luff setups are easy to organise. Photos for starters would be great so I can get any bits and bobs I need for starters. Then maybe we can meet up for some fun down the track. They were able to help with most of my questions but ran short on these ones unfortunately. Mind you, I did pop down out of season so there wasn't a full contingency on board at the time. stingray580 Posted February 6, 2013 Report Share Posted February 6, 2013 i have two masts for my stingray, the original mast has an internal downhaul, at 6:1 with a cascade on the sail thru the eye, making it 12:1 on the second mast ( stiffer and newer) that i rigged myself runs an external downhaul which also runs 12:1.
