Pointed Reply
A quick summary of the weekend at Tanilba. 22 boats sailed 6 races in sloop, super sloop and cat. Super sloop were the most numerous at 13. Cat winner was Pirate Pete closely followed by Jason. Supersloops won by Mick, followed by Bobby Wild Tiger Simpson. Sloops won by Rob and Jayde Fowler followed by the Waynes. Condition ranged from 18kt to nothing (or less). There were different winners across the 6 races. Some gear breakages were costly for some. Good to see some new faces and a few retuners plus some guests from the PT and Hobie ranks. More details/results and comments/stories to come. Special thanks to the Tanilba committee. humungus2
Thanks Merly, Its a shame you couldn't be there. Not only did I win the title but a couple of bonuses like $50.00, a bottle of scotch and most of all bragging rights for the next 12 months. LUCKY ME. humungus2
Marks right, plenty of ballast. On the long legs the guys on trap definatly had more speed than me. The trouble was the mistakes they made getting in and out. The long jib sheet takes longer to pull in than the short one I have. I have started training so by the end of the year I should be on the trap.
