Pointed Reply
At Toukley, the gathered Maricat sailors decided that the NSW & ACT Maricat State Titles will be sailed as part of the Mannering Park 14ft Regatta in October. The Maricats will have the same start as all the other 14ft cats. All configurations of Maricats are welcome to compete. The State Titles will be contested for Cat, Sloop and Super-Sloop in both Open and Classic Divisions. Overall handicap winners will also be calculated. Pointed Reply
Me again !! The option of a split series was discussed. Part One Mannering Park 14ft 5 races Part Two Kembla Klassic 5 races 7 races to count towards State Titles so that sailors can sail two full weekends or one full weekend and one day from another. Comments and opinions are welcome.

Scuttlebutt
A split Series will be more difficult for people who travel a long way!! Unless you sailed Cat rig at one regatta and sloop/super sloop at the other?
humungus2
Why not nats at one venue and States at the other.
darcy1945
Agree with Mick (even though it goes against the grain to agree with Mick at any time).
Pointed Reply
Might having the Nationals in the New Year --- (Jan, Feb, March) be a better spread of events ??
humungus2
I agree but I think it's all about getting the maximum boats for the best compertition. Dates are changable but the compertition is more more important. [This message has been edited by humungus2 (edited 24 June 2010).]
