Loose Change
First thing I would do is to modify the trailer to allow the boat to be carried flat rather than tilted the way it is nowthat alone would make it easier to get off the trailer. TornadoSport260
To me it looks like the bastard child of a tornado and mosquito. If you are going to mod the trailer to tow it flat, check what the legal road width is. I have a feeling the beam on that boat might be too wide to tow it flat just like a Tornado. Loose Change
At 2.3 meters width it's road legal anywhere in Australia
ymick
thank you trailer mod in works hull 2400mm wide easy on and off trailer but hard to get up on side up on side gives good access to storage boxes though? cheers
Loose Change
Sorry, I said 2.3 meters because that's what is stated in the original ebay listing in the Q&A section, but at 2.4 meters it's still road legal anywhere in Australia. Yes access is better with the hull up in the air but even better when the hull is off the trailer completely. Harry
Paul124ac
I told Micky we could tow it flat, make it easier to launch, but he reckons I'm full of it. He might beleive me now. Anyway, we've gotta learn to sail it first. Anyone happen to know the Y/S? Should be around 75? That's assuming it's a tad slower than a QB3. Paul124ac
We got a yardstick of 72, seems a bit harsh? We were pacing an A upwind in the last race, after we sorted a few things out and got it going. There is a reason for replacing old trap adjuster ropes before swinging on them.
