Kurt P
Hi guys, Are there any companies out there that are more in tune with catamarans than others. Picking up a Nacra 4.5 on Saturday and need some insurance. I have had some quotes and prices vary wildly. Cheers Kurt
BarryK1200LT
Hi Kurt, I have both my catamarans insured with RACQ. Have made 3 claims in the last 5 months, and all were assessed and approved quickly. Found they were by far the most cost effective out of all the companies I called. Magic Marine WA
Kurt Discuss your insurance with Roscoe at Bris Cat when you pickup the boat. He is an agent for "Club Marine" and can do every thing for you on the spot.
MikeDean
Kurt Search this site/topics for "insurance". There have been several threads on this topic in the past - wth some quotes/$$$s advised by cat sailors. regards Mike

BarryK1200LT
hehehe ... Hey Hood, maybe I should call my boat "sonar"? cause it always manages to find the bottom! Then again ... "Turtled" might be more appropriate named, given I think it caused more damage? Nah, I've only hit one turtle, and clipped a reef once in overcast weather bothe resulting in insurance claims. The other time was the Maricat broken mast. Credit to RACQ where its due, cause they did come to the party each time, and had it assessed with in a few days each time. Mind you, I expect they might extract some form of revenge when renewal time comes around this year. :-( Cheers Barry
