Pointed Reply
Great to see... We can make it official if interested. The management of the National Council rests with the Maricat Association of NSW & ACT as the only currently active State association. The National Council has a constitution andit is on the Maricat.com.au website. It would be a simple matter to "re-activate" the Vics.

Pointed Reply
So a few Maricats may be going to Hazelwood........... Any ideas how many. A little bit further for me than to Toukley Brass Monkey but..... I note from the NOR that the divisions are VYC 80 and up.........do they do Windward leeward returns or triangles. yachtie2611
We should have at least 4 or 5 boats , i dont know the courses . we had a maximum price of $1000 so are not super competitive but we have fun. there are now 10 of us .
darcy1945
5 or 6 $300 t0 $500 maricats was how Mannering Park multihull division started, stay with your stock boats/coloured sails as long as possible, just enjoy as you are doing.
knobblyoldjimbo
the really great thing about Maris is that you can sail them competitively at quite low cost. The only area of investment on an oldie is a new or recent sail, this is pretty much the one thing that will make a difference, but look at other sports, a new engine in a go cart, even new running shoes or a new tennis racquet (I'm trying to talk myself into a new(ish) one - I know it makes sense).
