tonyquoll
Hi, Thinking up names for a new Paper Tiger. When I saw the photos of it, I thought it was PURRFECT MIAOWGNIFICENT It looks like a top boat, able to fulfill any AMBITCHIN (ambition + am bitchin as in totally, dude) Yep its decided I am CUMINGTAGITCHA (sucker!) Of course the boat has a name already SLIPPERY WHEN WET 80s Bon Jovi album, tongue in cheek porn humour. There is a trend in Tigers to use song names. Am I drive to get the boat because I'm a POWERSLAVE (Iron maiden classic) perhaps I'll be FLYING IN A BLUE DREAM (Joe Satriani) Maybe it'll go so fast there'll be a TIMEWARP (Rocky Horror Show soundtrack) I like the blue & flouro colours on it; TIGERDELIC! A latin name? VELOCITIGER, (fast tiger) or ACATIUM VELOX (little boat that goes fast) Or Dad's idea; PAPER TIGER CROUCHING DRAGON Any-one know of / want to suggest any great/funny boat names? tonyquoll
Thanks for those! Origami; Ori = folded, gami = paper, and Tora = tiger. GAMITORA, or ORIGAMI TORA ? The boat has grey hulls, timber decks, blue & white sail; YETI THE SILVER LINING SILVER (Lone Ranger; "Hi-ho Silver, away!") Agree with QB2 on the names I wont be using. Also the self-depreciating ones like JUST A TOY THIS'LL DO When I picked the boat up I saw one in the rack beneath called PURRFECTION One of the funniest I've seen was called HOOTERS (the wife said to name it after her!) tonyquoll
Finally decided to go with "Tigerdelic". Yeah it's hip, happening and groovy baby. Lay down a funky tack, get ya sunglasses on and dig the boat's artwork at: http://www.papertigercatamaran.org/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=69&func=view&catid=10&id=50#65 Sweeet
