Pointed Reply
Last year the Tanilba Bay Marathon Regatta was the 3rd weekend of February (16/17), would it still be possible to move the Tanilba event by one weekend ?
TornadoSport260
Seems to have been a good regatta from those i have talked to. Though just looking at the results and the Yardstick datasheet used to calculate overall results. and there seems to be a few inventive yardsticks. Ie. Darren on a Windy S/S on a 85.5min yardstick yet Warren is on a 86.5min yardstick and lost the national title by 2 points. Also y were the Windrush penalised for foam sandwich hulls? Our yardstick was adjusted in the mid-late 90's to incorporate Mylar sails and foam hulls. 87.5 is the accepted Windrush S/S yardstick. Scuttlebutt
I thought the yardstick for a cat rigged Maricat is 94 not 85.
TornadoSport260
which boats yardstick are you refering to?
Pointed Reply
I think he is talking about Full Tilt Darren on a Windy and not Bundy Darren on a Mari !!
TornadoSport260
yeh i think he is confused as to which darren i was talking bout... though i did say Darren on a Windy S/S on 85.5... not Darren on a Maricat... Mind you Bundy would have still finished Third on 85.5... shows you just how good he is...

darcy1945
Rest assured, the Y/stick for Windies will be correct at the next Mannering Park Regatta, I had vacated my seat for this last event but will be there next year.
Helter Skelter
Guys you have all been disturbingly quite since Koonawarra. Is the fourth leg of the travellers series still a go and if so when and where?
TornadoSport260
I agree, i think they're running scared after the PT/Windy show at koonawarra.
Pointed Reply
Unfortunately we will not be able to make it to Concord-Ryde. The Super Crew has a tennis tournament in Wollongong next Friday, then we have a trial soccer game for the South West Slopes soccer team on Sunday.....what a multi skilled crew !! Pointed Reply may have retired to the shed until next season, but there is a chance of a trip to Bateman's Bay on Anzac weekend. The Super Crew thinks he likes the idea of a sail out in the ocean. richard campbell
Hi Mick It would be nice to know when Concord/Ryde is on, I'll venture down there. Who knows might even be able to get the forestays and beam cover off you. Thanks Richard
Pointed Reply
The date set was 14th March, this Saturday. I understand that the Maricats are to sail the normal race with Concord-Ryde at their normal start time. Check the CRSC website. Location is on the CRSC website. Brenton was to check details with Adrian and other CRSC Maricatters.

richard campbell
Thanks to Concord/Ryde for hosting us to-day There was a good fleet and the wind was sort of kind to us. The river cats certainly make for interesting sailing Richard
