Steelnerve
That's great to hear Jeff, Thanks for that. I think some Cobra's from Parkdale Melbourne are coming as well. Now all we have to hope for is some fair winds. Because I'm sure the social part will go off no worries. Steelnerve
Looks like we will be having Lamb roast or fish for the evening Saturday meal. So no dates with Tom Cruise will be stopping anyone attending the regatta. We have a liquor license for the weekend so it will be no BYO. With beer, wine and soft drink available. Looking forward to seeing everyone there for some good fun racing and enjoying our country hospitality. If the sun is out, then you'll think your in QLD with the flat, clear water. Matthew Dawson
Thanks to all at Rivoli Bay S.C. for putting on a wonderful event. The fleet was relatively small but the company was excellent, as was the sailing. Rivoli Bay is a hidden treasure! If you ever get a chance I highly recommend it. About 6 hrs drive from the West Gate Bridge in Melbourne. Beautiful flat green water, great hospitality and excellent courses for cat racing. The highlight of the weekend for me was sailing along with a pod of five dolphins ... superb! Thanks RBSC - I'll be back next year. madboutcats
I second those comments we had a great time and the kids were impressed with the big medals given out for juniors, I hope you guys make this race an annual event regards Jeff
Steelnerve
Thanks guys for your kind comments. The weekend did go off well. The wind was great with very flat water. The reaches were full noise on a carpet ride, what a buzz. And the dolphins were a great bonus too. There will be a regatta like that every year but date and name might change. The weather can be a little hit and miss then which is always a worry. Can't wait for your regatta Jeff, having a big run on the Taipan sounds fun.
